The Used are set to rock Australia with 21 shows in August and September. Lead singer Bert McCracken will perform their first three albums in full to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary. Fans in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Fremantle quickly grabbed tickets, leading to several sold-out dates and the addition of more shows.
Bassist Jeph Howard, also known as Jepha, shared his thoughts on the milestone, saying, “It’s almost surreal to even try to imagine that we’ve been a touring band for so long.” Each stop on the tour will feature three nights of music. The first night will showcase their raw 2002 debut album. The second night will focus on 2004’s “In Love and Death,” and the final night will highlight 2007’s “Lies for the Liars.”
Originally planned for 15 shows, the tour expanded to 21 after tickets sold out within hours. Hands Like Houses will open the early shows, while later performances will feature Hevenshe, with Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall leading the way.
The Used have a strong connection to Australia. Jeph mentioned, “We’ve had a really serious connection with Australia since back in the beginning.” After ten trips over two decades, McCracken now calls Sydney home.
Drummer Dan Whitesides explained what makes each album unique. He said, “The first album is definitely a little more bare bones, a little raw. In In Love and Death, you get a little bit more of the bells and whistles. And then by the time you get to Lies for the Liars, it’s like full-blown production.”
The tour kicks off at Melbourne’s Forum on August 7 and wraps up on September 6 at Sydney’s Liberty Hall. New music is expected in mid-2026, and tickets are available now.
