The event was shot at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar and was produced by OBB Pictures. The document marked the first concert film-streaming experience on Spotify, which staged its first-ever Billions Club live show with the singer on December 17.

At the show, The Weeknd treated a number of top Spotify listeners to some of his 25 songs that have reached over a billion streams, including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Save Your Tears” and “Earned It.”

He also played new songs “In Heaven” and “São Paulo” that are expected to be included on his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow, which is set to be released on January 24.

“The Weekend has just achieved something that no artist has ever done before – and we saw this as such a great opportunity to also do something for him and his fans that we’ve never done before on our platform,” says Joe Hadley, Spotify’s global head of music partnerships and audience. “We wanted to put the fans front and center and reward them for their role in his success, both at the concert and now on-platform. Spotify is always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with the goal of making our platform the best place for fans to get access to the artists they love – and you can expect more of this to come in 2025.”

To celebrate the release of Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Weeknd will perform a massive one-night-only live stadium show at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, on Saturday, January 25, debuting never-before-seen production. The stage will take over the entire floor of the stadium, for a must-see in-the-round experience.
