In a new interview with Mexico’s Summa Inferno, Halestorm powerhouse Lzzy Hale opened up about the intense discipline required to maintain her signature vocal performance over nearly three decades. Hale revealed that her personal motto is to perform every show as if it were her last, refusing to "half-ass" any night on stage. She emphasized that this consistency requires immense trust in her body and a commitment to performing in the original keys they were recorded in.

Beyond the technical aspects of music, Hale spoke candidly about her evolution as a role model. She admitted that she once felt pressured to hide her struggles with anxiety and depression to maintain a "perfect" image, but eventually realized that authenticity resonates more with fans. By living unapologetically and sharing her low points, she hopes to show fans that she is human and attainable. This focus on vulnerability follows the release of Halestorm's sixth studio album, Everest, which arrived last August.

Julien's Auctions has announced that Ace Frehley’s legendary 1975 Gibson Les Paul will be a centerpiece of its upcoming "Music Icons" sale. The instrument, which served as Frehley's primary companion during the formative years of KISS, is estimated to sell for between $400,000 and $600,000. Used extensively on stage and in the studio, this guitar is considered one of the most historically significant pieces of rock memorabilia to hit the market in years.

The auction, scheduled for May 29-30 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, will feature over 800 items, including instruments from Kirk Hammett, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Izzy Stradlin. Fans can view highlights from the collection during a traveling exhibition that will stop in London, Tokyo, and New York. Bidding officially opens on April 27, offering collectors a rare chance to own a piece of the "Spaceman's" legacy.

From Ashes To New has publicly pushed back against social media platform X after its automated systems tagged the promotional art for their upcoming album, Reflections, as being created with artificial intelligence. The band took to the platform to address the AI bot Grok, demanding the removal of the label and clarifying that the artwork was created by a human artist using Photoshop.

The gold-certified nu-metal group emphasized their loyalty to their designer, stating he has been producing "incredible art" for the band since long before AI tools became mainstream. "We paid an artist to create this art & stand by him," the band wrote, noting that utilizing Photoshop for detailed digital art should not be conflated with AI generation.

Reflections is currently scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.

Alice Cooper and his wife, Sheryl, celebrated 50 years of marriage on Saturday, March 21, by renewing their wedding vows at the historic Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, Arizona. The ceremony was a deeply personal affair attended by 220 guests, including the couple's children and grandchildren. In a touching tribute to their original 1976 wedding, the vows were officiated by Sheryl’s 92-year-old father, William Goddard, who also presided over their first ceremony five decades ago.

The couple, who first met in 1975 when Sheryl joined Alice’s stage show as a dancer, exchanged personalized vows and custom 18K gold rings featuring rubies and diamonds. Known for having one of the most enduring marriages in rock history, the 78-year-old rocker has often credited their success to staying together both at home and on the road. The celebration featured four generations of family and serves as a rare milestone in the entertainment world.

Michael Smith, 54, of Cornelius, North Carolina, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in what federal authorities are calling the first criminal prosecution of its kind. In a massive scheme spanning from 2017 to 2024, Smith used artificial intelligence to generate hundreds of thousands of songs and deployed a network of thousands of "bot" accounts to stream them billions of times. This manipulation allowed him to fraudulently collect more than $8 million in royalty payments from major platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

To avoid detection, Smith carefully distributed the fake streams across a vast library of tracks, ensuring no single song triggered anti-fraud alarms. Prosecutors noted that at the height of the operation, Smith was generating approximately 661,440 streams per day, yielding annual royalties of over $1.2 million. As part of his plea deal, Smith has agreed to forfeit over $8 million and faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Sentencing is currently scheduled for July 29, 2026.

During a recent appearance on the Mark and Me podcast, Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe opened up about his music-listening habits, stating firmly that he does not use major streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music. Instead, Blythe revealed that he prefers to buy digital albums through Bandcamp to ensure the money goes directly to the artists, or purchase physical vinyl when he isn't on the road. Blythe explained that he misses the "mystery" of the pre-streaming era, often purchasing entire albums after hearing only a single song.

Lamb of God's tour starts tomorrow and they continue to promote their tenth studio album, Into Oblivion, which was released on March 13 to critical acclaim.

On this day in 1999, Static-X burst onto the scene with their debut studio album, Wisconsin Death Trip. Released via Warner Bros. Records, the album introduced the world to Wayne Static’s signature "evil disco" sound—a high-octane blend of industrial metal, pulsing electronics, and jagged nu-metal riffs. Led by the breakout success of the lead single "Push It," the record quickly climbed the charts, eventually reaching platinum status and cementing the band's place in heavy music history.

Beyond the hits like "I’m With Stupid" and "Bled for Days," the album was praised for its unique aesthetic and relentless energy. While we recently saw the release of the "Corrosive Edition" 25th-anniversary box set, the original 12 tracks remain a definitive time capsule of the late-'90s metal explosion. From the haunting atmosphere of the title track to the frantic pace of "Fix," Wisconsin Death Trip continues to be a go-to record for fans of industrial grit and rhythmic aggression.
