Thirty Seconds to Mars is gearing up for an exciting announcement this Friday. The band, led by Jared Leto, shared a teaser video on Facebook that features nostalgic clips of Leto spray-painting the word “war” on a billboard, all while their song “This Is War” plays in the background. The video concludes with the message, “A battle of eras. Friday. 9AM BST,” which is 4 a.m. ET for fans in the U.S.
“This Is War” is the title track from their 2009 album, which followed their 2005 release, A Beautiful Lie. Just last month, the band celebrated the 20th anniversary of A Beautiful Lie with a special reissue. This makes fans wonder if the upcoming announcement will connect both albums in some way.
