– 1966: Cream, the British supergroup with Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton, and Jack Bruce, played their first show at the Twisted Wheel club in Manchester. They would go on to release four groundbreaking albums in just three years.
– 1967: The Doors hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with “Light My Fire,” marking the first song written by guitarist Robby Krieger.
– 1974: Neil Peart joined Rush as their drummer, helping to shape the band’s progressive rock sound.
– 1991: Metallica released “Enter Sandman,” a single that set the stage for their mainstream success with The Black Album.

Cultural Milestones
– 1953: Geddy Lee, the talented vocalist and bassist of Rush, was born in Ontario, Canada. He joined the band at just 16 and helped lead them to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2013.
