Tom Constanten was born on March 19, 1944, in Long Branch, New Jersey. He is best known as the keyboardist for the Grateful Dead from 1968 to 1970. In 1994, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the other founding members of the band.

1958: The teenage duo Tom and Jerry released their third single, “Our Song.” They later split up and reformed as Simon & Garfunkel.
