1974: Stevie Wonder scored a big hit with “You Haven’t Done Nothin’,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This song was part of his album, Fulfillingness’ First Finale, and featured background vocals from the Jackson 5.

1979: The Who premiered their film, Quadrophenia, in the U.S. Although it didn’t do well at the box office, it later gained a cult following.

1967: Cream dropped their second studio album, Disraeli Gears, through Reaction Records. This album is considered one of the most influential in rock history, featuring hits like “Sunshine of Your Love” and “Strange Brew.”

1987: George Harrison released his eleventh studio album, Cloud Nine, through Dark Horse Records. This was his first solo album after a five-year break and included the hit “Got My Mind Set on You.”

1999: Foo Fighters released their third studio album, There Is Nothing Left to Lose, via Roswell and RCA Records. This was their first album with drummer Taylor Hawkins and it achieved Platinum status in the U.S.
