1967: The Beatles recorded their fifth fan club Christmas album, Christmas Time Is Here Again! This album was released only in the U.K. and featured “Christmas Time (Is Here Again),” one of the few songs written by all four members.
1971: Rory Gallagher released his second studio album, Deuce, through Polydor Records in the U.K. and Atco Records in the U.S. While it didn’t make a big splash initially, it has since become a highly influential blues-rock record.
1974: John Lennon made a surprise appearance at an Elton John concert in Madison Square Garden. He performed “Whatever Gets You Thru the Night,” “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,” and “I Saw Her Standing There.” This was one of his last live performances.
