Three Days Grace Achieves New Milestone with Their Nostalgic Hit Song

Three Days Grace has been around for over 20 years, but their music still resonates with fans. Their debut single, “I Hate Everything About You,” released in 2003, has officially gone nine-times Platinum, meaning it has sold at least 9 million units, according to the RIAA. Lead vocalist Adam Gontier reflected on the song in 2006, saying, “At that point in my life, and our lives, it was representative of us.” He noted that people connect with the song in different ways. Some see it as a relationship anthem, while others view it as a message about letting go of things that no longer serve them.

Three Days Grace is known for more than just this hit. They have several other successful singles, including the eight-times Platinum “Animal I Have Become,” six-times Platinum “Never Too Late,” and quadruple-Platinum tracks “Pain” and “Riot.” Clearly, these guys know how to create hit music.

In August, the band released their latest album, “Alienation.” This record is special because it features two lead singers: Adam Gontier, who has returned, and Matt Walst, who took over when Gontier left. Walst shared his thoughts on having Gontier back, saying, “There’s a little bit of less pressure, but it’s giving me the opportunity to put more into what I’m singing and what I’m doing up there on stage.” He added that after performing many shows, it can be tough on the voice, so having Gontier back has been a big help.

With their impressive catalog and new music, Three Days Grace continues to be a force in the rock scene.
