Trent Reznor recently spoke to fans at a show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and shared some thoughts about the future of Nine Inch Nails. He mentioned that he’s unsure if the band will tour again after their current Peel It Back tour wraps up. “I don’t know if we’re gonna be touring anymore after this, but I’m proud of the show that we’re doing right now,” he said.
Reznor also took a moment to reflect on an early performance at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. He recalled a fan in the back singing along to “Head Like a Hole,” which made him realize it was everything he ever wanted in life.
Back in 2009, the band hinted they might stop touring during the Wave Goodbye Tour, but they surprised fans by returning to the stage in 2013. Over the years, Reznor has made similar comments at various shows, leaving fans wondering about the band’s future.
In late 2025, Reznor revealed that Nine Inch Nails is working on new music. “We are working on new stuff and we’re excited to work on it,” he said. The band is focusing on their own projects rather than taking on other commitments.
Nine Inch Nails has been busy with a consistent touring schedule in recent years. Their last albums, Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts, were released in 2020, along with a soundtrack for Tron: Ares last year.
The Peel It Back Tour started last June after a three-year break from live shows. The tour features impressive staging and dual performance platforms. Fans can find all remaining tour dates and ticket links online.
