Concert travel is changing the way we experience tourism in Asia. Fans are now traveling across borders to see their favorite artists perform. Trip.com Group, a top travel service provider, has teamed up with Live Nation Asia, a leader in live entertainment, to create a new partnership that combines travel and music experiences in key Asian markets.
This collaboration will kick off in Hong Kong/Macau, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, and Mainland China. Fans can now easily plan trips centered around concerts, getting exclusive presale access to shows along with flights, hotels, and local experiences through Trip.com’s platform. This marks Trip.com’s first move into the live entertainment travel scene, showing their commitment to meeting the needs of modern travelers.
Live music is becoming a major reason for travel. This partnership aims to help fans follow their favorite artists while boosting tourism in the region. A recent survey found that nearly 66% of travelers in the Asia Pacific are willing to travel internationally for concerts, with Gen Z and Millennials leading the way. For example, hotel bookings in Singapore tripled during Lady Gaga’s exclusive show, and in Hong Kong, more than half of concertgoers extended their stays for leisure, benefiting the local economy.
Cities like Singapore, Bangkok, and Seoul are becoming must-visit music hubs as artists add more shows. “Today’s music lovers want experiences that go beyond just the concert,” said Bo Sun, Chief Marketing Officer at Trip.com Group. “With partnerships like this, we’re making travel more exciting for fans and creating new opportunities for destinations in Asia.”
James Dick, EVP of Partnerships and Media at Live Nation Asia, added, “Concert travel is reshaping tourism in Asia. Together with Trip.com, we’re helping fans turn concerts into unforgettable trips that impact the culture of entire cities.”
This partnership also opens doors for local hotels, attractions, and tourism stakeholders to create concert-focused products and experiences, encouraging more bookings and longer stays.
The first offering under this partnership features exclusive packages for K-pop sensation TWICE’s tour in Hong Kong. As the Official Travel Partner for the TWICE WORLD TOUR IN HONG KONG, Trip.com is ready to make concert trips even more special for fans.
