Congratulations to Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and Carla Harvey on their recent marriage! The couple tied the knot in a ceremony in Las Vegas on Sunday. Benante described the wedding as “an elegant Russ Meyer movie with a rock and roll twist.”
The guest list featured members from bands like Pantera, Mötley Crüe, Fozzy, Dream Theater, and Nickelback. KISS’ Gene Simmons officiated the ceremony. Benante shared that they initially planned for a small, intimate wedding with just a few friends and family. However, they realized it would be hard to keep it small once others found out. “We just want our closest in a room together celebrating,” he said.
Beyond their personal lives, Benante and Harvey have also worked together musically. Harvey, a former member of Butcher Babies, collaborated with Benante on the debut EP for her new project, The Violent Hour.
