Trivium’s Matt Heafy Successfully Undergoes Knee Surgery: ‘On the Road to Recovery’

Trivium frontman Matt Heafy had knee surgery on Wednesday to fix a torn meniscus. In a July 24 Instagram post, Heafy shared that his left knee gave out last Thursday. He kept the injury to himself to avoid worrying fans.

Heafy reported that the surgery was a “big success.” He confirmed that Trivium’s European tour is still on track to start in August. “Nothing can stop us!” he wrote. He added that his knee is already healing and that a torn meniscus won’t stop the band from keeping their promises to fans.

After the European tour, Trivium will return to the U.S. in September to perform at the Louder Than Life festival. Fans can look forward to seeing the band back on stage soon!
