TWICE’s ‘Taste Of Love’ Mini Album Debuts In Top 10 Of Billboard 200 Chart

Taste of Love, the latest mini album from K-pop supergroup TWICE, has debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The achievement marks the 9-piece group’s highest entry on the chart yet and makes them the second-ever K-pop girl group to have a top 10 album on the chart, joining BLACKPINK.

TWICE also achieved the top-selling album of the past week as Taste of Love sold 43,000 in traditional album sales with a notable boost in physical copies. With an additional 3,000 streaming equivalent units, the album brought in 46,000 equivalent album units.

Taste of Love is the third release from TWICE to land on the Billboard 200, following 2020’s Eyes Wide Open and More & More, which came in at No. 72 and No. 200, respectively. It is the tenth mini album to be shared by the group which is currently made up of Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina and Dahyun.

Writing efforts on the project were led by Jihyo, Dahyun, Sana, and Nayeon with additional collaborators such as J. Y. Park, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, and Ryan Tedder.

Packaged neatly into six tracks, Taste of Love displays the members of TWICE challenging themselves creatively through the exploration of new concepts.

In an interview with NME, Chaeyoung shared: “We usually focus on challenging ourselves and focus on expressing ourselves more when we’re introducing [a] new concept. When we’re choosing a song, our input is important of course, but at the same time we try to incorporate the opinions of our company because they have better ears and they can gauge better what the public wants.”

The group has taken to exploring new genres and sonic landscapes to expand their range as musicians. For example, Taste of Love single “Alcohol-Free” finds the group tapping into the Latin-inspired production that appears throughout the project.

TWICE’s latest mini album Taste of Love is available to purchase and stream.
