Two Friends have released the first-ever official remix of Neil Diamond’s all-time hit “Sweet Caroline,” out now via Capitol/UMe on all streaming platforms.

Two Friends’ remix of “Sweet Caroline” adds a house-driven beat that deftly highlights Diamond’s original vocals, giving the classic song a modern, dance-worthy twist.

“An official dance remix of ‘Sweet Caroline’ has been a long-standing idea and the new Two Friends version both honors the song’s legacy while infusing it with an electrifying new energy,” said Katie Diamond, Neil Diamond’s manager.

Matt Halper and Eli Sones of Two Friends share, “When we were given the opportunity to officially remix ‘Sweet Caroline,’ we were beyond humbled. It’s one of those iconic songs that everyone just knows. To hear that a musical legend like Neil Diamond himself listened to our take on the record—and loved it—was unreal. We’re so grateful that he trusted us with his masterpiece and allowed us to put our spin on a timeless classic.”

Though Two Friends are celebrating the iconic Diamond track, the legendary singer has stayed busy with reviving other classic music in recent years, too.

Last year, he offered up a new digital deluxe edition of Home Before Dark, originally released on May 5, 2008. The album became the singer-songwriter’s second album for American Recordings. On release, it went to No.1 on North America’s Billboard 200 (earning a platinum certification) and also topped album charts in territories including the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Home Before Dark consists of original songs composed by Neil Diamond, in addition to some remakes. It was produced by Rick Rubin and mixed by Dana Nielsen. Its orchestral parts were arranged and conducted by David Campbell, also renowned for his contributions to albums by artists as diverse as The Rolling Stones, Post Malone and Elton John. The original album was led by the single “Pretty Amazing Grace,” while the deluxe edition features two new bonus tracks, “Without Her” and “Make You Feel My Love.”
