UK Bestsellers Keane Announce Hop Farm Concert In Kent For June 2022

British pop-rock chart-toppers Keane have announced that they will play the Hop Farm in Kent, England, on June 19, 2022. They’ll be joined at the one-off show, staged by LPH Concerts, by special guests, indie rock band Flyte and support Michael Conryan.

Tickets went on sale this morning (July 8) and are priced at £44.50 plus booking fee. Keane had been due to play a Forest Live gig at nearby Bedgebury Pinetum last year, before it was cancelled due to the pandemic.

The band have some 13 million record sales to their name in a career that saw their first four albums (Hopes and Fears, Under The Iron Sea, Perfect Symmetry, and Strangeland) all reach No.1 in the UK. Their signature hits include “Everybody’s Changing,” “Somewhere Only We Know,” and “Is It Any Wonder.” Their fifth album, Cause and Effect, was released in September 2019 after a seven-year hiatus, and peaked at No.2. It was followed by a sold-out UK tour.

On July 17, Keane will release the Dirt EP as part of Record Store Day 2 in the UK. It will feature four previously unheard songs from the Cause and Effect sessions of 2019.

The 450-year-old Hop Farm is a 400-acre country park in Beltring, near East Peckham in Kent. Keane’s appearance next year will be a homecoming for the band, who met in their school years in the nearby town of Tonbridge. Before their visit, Hop Farm is due to host shows by pop star Olly Murs (September 18) and vocal giant Sir Tom Jones (19).

The site is also known for its erstwhile series of Hop Farm Festivals, which started in 2008 and ran each year until 2012. The festival variously played host to Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Paul Weller, and Van Morrison, and is perhaps best remembered for securing Prince as a headliner in 2011.
