Foo Fighters and Eddie Vedder brought a much-needed dose of rock to Global Citizen’s “VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World,” which aired over the weekend.
The concert, which also featured performances by Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin and H.E.R, honored those who have helped raise vaccine awareness and aided in the vaccine rollout, as well as stress the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
Vedder performed two songs at the concert: Pearl Jam’s “Corduroy” and a cover of Little Steven’s “I Am a Patriot.” Vedder was accompanied by former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer during his performance.
As for the Foo Fighters, they performed a six-song set which featured a cover of AC/DC’s “Back in Black” with special guest Brian Johnson. In addition to “Back in Black,” the Foo’s set included “All My Life,” “Everlong,” “Times Like These,” “My Hero” and “Best of You.”
