​Violent Femmes announce four 45th anniversary concerts  

Violent Femmes are celebrating their 45th anniversary with four special shows in Los Angeles this summer. The iconic band, known for their hit “Blister in the Sun,” will perform at The Bellweather on July 28, 29, 30, and 31. Tickets are available at TheBellweatherLA.com.

On July 28 and 29, they will play their classic 1983 self-titled debut album, which includes fan favorites like “Add It Up,” “Gone Daddy Gone,” and “Kiss Off.” They will also perform their 1984 album, Hallowed Ground, in its entirety.

On July 30 and 31, the band will showcase songs from their 1986 album, The Blind Leading the Naked, with special guest Jerry Harrison from Talking Heads, who produced that album. Each night will feature a mix of greatest hits and fan favorites.

Violent Femmes formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1981. Their debut album was certified Gold and later Platinum, finally making it onto the Billboard 200 chart in 1991, where it peaked at number 171.
