Violet Grohl made her solo concert debut on Saturday for Record Store Day. The daughter of Dave Grohl performed at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach, California, showcasing songs from her upcoming album, *Be Sweet to Me*. Fans are excited, with one post on Instagram saying, “I was there when Violet Grohl played her first live show…”
It looks like her dad, Dave Grohl, was there too. The Foo Fighters shared a photo of him outside Fingerprints with Dr. Demento, a well-known DJ and mentor to “Weird Al” Yankovic. Violet’s album is set to release on May 29.
She also has plans to perform at the Reading & Leeds festivals in the U.K. and Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival. Meanwhile, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters are gearing up to release a new album, *Your Favorite Toy*, this Friday. They have a special show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on April 28, followed by headlining spots at the Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock Napa festivals in May. A full North American stadium tour is planned for August.
