Violet Grohl, the 19-year-old daughter of Dave Grohl, has signed a record deal after releasing some singles on her own. She’s now with Republic Records under her own label, Auroura Records, and is set to work on her first album.
Kristina Grossmann, senior vice president of A&R/Operations at Republic Records, shared her excitement: “From the moment we met Violet, it was clear she represents the next generation of artists. Her music is immediate and intentional, and her voice has a unique duality. She’s unapologetically cool and a fearless female voice. We can’t wait to help bring her vision to life.”
David Wolter, executive vice president/head of A&R at Republic Records, added, “Violet combines perspective, artistry, and respect for the craft. She knows music history but is also pushing it forward. She is the future.”
Violet has already given fans a sneak peek of her music with singles like “THUM” and “Applefish.” Recently, she released “What’s Heaven Without You” as a tribute to the late director David Lynch on what would have been his 80th birthday.
Violet has also performed with her dad, including a memorable appearance with the reunited Nirvana at the 2025 FireAid benefit concert. Fans are excited to see what she’ll do next!
