Volbeat’s drummer Jon Larsen to miss upcoming performances due to family obligations.

Volbeat drummer Jon Larsen will miss four upcoming shows on their current tour due to a family commitment. The band announced on Facebook that he won’t be able to join them for the following dates: Wednesday in Charlotte, North Carolina; Thursday in Bristow, Virginia; Saturday in Camden, New Jersey; and Sunday in Holmdel, New Jersey.

The good news is that Jon Dette will step in to play drums for these shows. Dette has previously played with bands like Slayer and Anthrax and filled in for Larsen in 2022 when he tested positive for COVID-19.

Larsen is expected to return to the tour on August 12 in Bangor, Maine. Volbeat is currently touring to promote their new album, *God of Angels Trust*, which was released in June. Halestorm is also part of the lineup for these shows. Fans can look forward to an exciting concert experience despite the lineup change!
