Weezer is hitting the road with a new U.S. tour called The Gathering. The tour kicks off on September 8 in Sacramento, California, and wraps up on October 24 in Los Angeles. Joining them on the tour are The Shins and Silversun Pickups.
Presales start on March 31 at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets go on sale to everyone on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. For all the tour dates and ticket info, check out Weezer.com.
To celebrate the tour announcement, Weezer is hosting a week of events in Los Angeles called Weezer: The Gathering – Initiation Week. Fans can join a trivia night at Barney’s Beanery on Thursday and a pickleball tournament with the band members on March 30.
In addition to the tour, Weezer will release a new single titled “Shine Again” on April 1. This song is the first single from their upcoming album, which doesn’t have a title or release date yet. This new album will follow their two 2021 releases, OK Human and Van Weezer, as well as four EPs from their SZNZ project in 2022.
Also, Weezer’s song “Go Away,” from their 2014 album Everything Will Be Alright in the End, is making waves again. It’s currently charting on the Billboard Alternative Airplay list after going viral on TikTok.
