Weezer is back with a new album! The band will release their self-titled record on August 21. This isn’t their first self-titled album; they have six others known by the colors of their covers: blue, green, red, white, teal, and black. The new album cover is gold.
The album was produced by Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume. The band returned to their roots, recording in a rehearsal space and collaborating closely. They aimed to create a sound that reflects their early days. Blume described the album as “the most violent Weezer album ever.”
