West Chester Holiday Festival to Feature 80,000 Lights

West Chester is gearing up for the Chester County Hospital Lights Up Holiday Weekends! This free, family-friendly event runs from Black Friday through New Year’s Day. Visitors can enjoy over 80,000 dazzling lights while shopping at local stores. The festival, organized by the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, is expected to attract more than 40,000 people this season.

Kick off the festivities on Black Friday, November 28, with some small business shopping. The West Chester Borough Balladeer Carolers will be there in Victorian outfits, singing from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Small Business Saturday, November 29, the carolers return from noon to 2 p.m., and Santa will make a special appearance on a fire truck at 3 p.m.

The following weekend, on Friday, December 5, the West Chester Christmas Parade will take place at 7 p.m., with over 25,000 attendees expected. Before the parade, there will be a tree lighting ceremony featuring a new, taller Christmas tree. Lasko Products LLC is back as the sponsor for the tree and lighting, with the new tree generously provided by West Pharmaceutical Services, the Barry Family, Adam Loew, and Eli Kahn.

Many local businesses and organizations have also stepped up to support this festive event. For a full list of sponsors and more details, check out the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s website. Get ready for a magical holiday season in West Chester!
