On Sunday night the West Coast High Tour ‘rolled’ into the Fillmore in Philly. The lineup consisted of newcomer Demerick and DJ Hoppa who perform a few songs solo before XZibit from the TV show “Pimp My Ride” joined him and performed most of his hitsalong with a few songs together.
Hollywood Undead were up next and really brought the crowd to a boil. The fans were belting out the words to every song and interacting with the band throughout their set. At one point Charlie C pull a young fan on stage to announce their next song ‘ Coming In Hot’ and the kid stayed up there and busted some nasty dances moves to please the crowd. The energy that HU brought was second to none, they got the crowd ready for the main event.

The highlight of the night was the legendary Cypress Hill who were joined on stage by the long time Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike. Mix Master Mike got the crowd fired up with his masterful skills on the turntables mixing rap, rock and some EDM beats. B-Real stepped on staged first and the crowd was in a frenzy. Out stepped Sen Dog and we were well on our way to great old school hip hop night. The duo started with ‘Band of Gypsies’ off of their latest album ‘Elephants on Acid’ then lead into a couple of classics ‘Real Estate’ and ‘Hand on the Pump.’ There was medly of the band’s Latin inpired songs and another inspired by weed. They finished their set with ‘Insane in the Brain,’ ‘Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That,’ and finally the hard hitting ‘Rock Superstar.’
