With Paul McCartney leading the way, Wings created some of the most memorable music of the 1970s, including hits like “Band on the Run,” “Jet,” and “Live and Let Die.” Soon, fans can enjoy WINGS, a new anthology personally curated by McCartney.
WINGS will be available in several formats, including a 3LP color vinyl collection, perfect for dedicated fans wanting to dive deep into their music. There are also 2CD and Blu-ray options for those looking for a more immersive experience. For those who prefer simpler formats, 1CD and 1LP versions will be offered as well.
All physical editions come with a booklet featuring an introduction from Sir Paul. The 3LP and 2CD versions include a 32-page booklet packed with photos, artwork, trivia, and band history. McCartney worked with Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell from the famous design studio Hipgnosis on the artwork. The expanded booklet also features album notes by Po and writing from Pete Paphides, along with original artwork by Humphrey Ocean, who traveled with Wings during their 1976 tour.
The Blu-ray version of WINGS is especially exciting, as it marks the first time Wings songs will be available in Dolby Atmos on a physical format.
Paul and Linda McCartney formed Wings in 1971, following the breakup of The Beatles. They created a strong band that could explore various genres and bring McCartney’s songs to life. Wings sold 22 million albums and toured extensively. WINGS captures this incredible journey.
