Wolfgang Van Halen had a front-row seat to Metallica’s M72 tour. His band, Mammoth, opened for the legendary rockers at every stop on their 2023 and 2024 tour. To honor their commitment, Metallica presented Wolf, the son of Eddie Van Halen, with a special award.
“We were the only band to play every single venue with them,” Wolf shared. “They gave us a plaque that said, ‘Perfect Attendance Award.’ It was really nice of them.”
Wolf described opening for Metallica as “unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of,” especially because the stage was set up in the round. “There’s nowhere to hide,” he explained. “As a singer, when you’re kind of planted, it’s tough to connect with the whole crowd.”
Currently, Wolf is on tour promoting Mammoth’s latest album, *The End*, which was released in October. Fans can look forward to more exciting performances as he continues to share his music with audiences.
