Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante will be filling out the Pantera reunion tour on guitar and drums according to a new report from Billboard.
“The lineup has been given a green light by the estates of the band’s founders, Vincent ‘Vinnie Paul’ Abbott and ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott, as well as Brown, who last year said Wylde wouldn’t tour with a reunited Pantera if that were to happen. It’s unclear what changed his mind,” noted Billboard.
As for what the Pantera tour will look like, the outlet states it will consist of various festival dates in North America and Europe, as well as some other headlining tour dates.
Billboard broke the news of the Pantera reunion earlier this week reporting singer Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown had signed with Artist Group International, who is in charge of booking the tour’s North American dates. Shortly thereafter, Wylde and Benante were rumored to be taking part and filling in for the late Abbott brother who co-founded Pantera.
