ZZ Top Are Sharp While Celebrating 50 Year Anniversary Tour in Camden, NJ

ZZ Top brought their 50th Anniversary Tour from Texas to the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey on September 15th 2019.  Supporting ZZ Top was another Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Cheap Trick!


Cheap Trick
, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, got things started with their 14 song, 60 minute set that consisted of some deep cuts as well as the fan fovorites like “I Want You To Want Me,” “Dream Police,” and “Surrender.”  Robin Zander (vocals), Rick Nelson (guitar), Tom Petersson (bass) and Bun E. Carlos (drums) were definiely having a great time on stage engaging the crowd even as they themselves near the 50 year mark as a band.

“the lil ol band from Texas” who are celebrating 50 years as a band said the key to their success is that they love doing what they do best and their fans do too. Billy Gibbons said, “It’s all directly attributable to the fact we enjoy doing what we get to do and it seems a ton of folk, through successive generations, have picked up on it and want more of the good times,“I guess we struck a chord, both literally and figuratively, and with that we are most thankful.”  Gibbons,  bassist/vocalist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard brought a fantastic show to the fans of Camden and Philly with all of their hits including “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” “Sharp Dress Man,” and of course “Legs.”
