The Pretty Reckless have officially released "Dear God," the haunting title track from their highly anticipated fifth studio album, scheduled to drop on June 26th via Fearless Records. Led by frontwoman Taylor Momsen’s commanding and emotionally driven vocals, the single leans heavily into themes of desperation and vulnerability, building from an intimate plea into an explosive guitar solo. "‘Dear God’ is desperation set to music," Momsen shares regarding the track. "When life gets that physical, that brutal, you leave your body and start begging something bigger than yourself to pull you out." Operating under a strict cloak of minimalism and anonymity since launching in 2025, the multi-million streaming project blends heavy music, electronic avant-garde production, and cinematic arrangements. Punk rock veterans Pinhead Gunpowder—the long-running side project featuring Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, drummer Aaron Cometbus, longtime Green Day touring guitarist Jason White, and bassist Bill Schneider—have officially announced a rare North American headlining tour for fall 2026. The highly anticipated 12-date routing will split its supporting acts, tapping Night Shop to open the East Coast and Midwest performances, while Constant Insult will take over the opening duties for the West Coast stretch. Tickets for all scheduled dates officially go on sale today, Thursday, May 21st, at 10:00 a.m. local time via major ticketing outlets.

The newly revealed trek serves as the live celebration for their October 2024 full-length studio album, Unt, which was released via 1-2-3-4 Go Records and marked the group's first collection of new material since 2008. Rock icon Bruce Springsteen has faced a significant spike in death threats throughout his current, highly political Land of Hope and Dreams Tour. The legendary singer-songwriter, a prominent and vocal critic of President Donald Trump, has been routinely using his platform on the trek to speak out against administration actions, including military conflict in Iran and ICE immigration enforcement. The tense political backdrop has translated into a hostile environment behind the scenes, following years of public barbs between the two public figures, where Springsteen has previously labeled the President "corrupt, incompetent and treasonous," and the President has publicly dismissed the rocker as a "dried out prune."

Longtime E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt detailed the severe situation in a recent interview, noting that the explicit themes of the show have forced a major security overhaul. "This tour has been a little bit different because of the high security," Van Zandt disclosed. "It's a very specific political theme to this tour and there's been a lot of threats, death threats. Usually there's always some, but this time it's been increasing." Van Zandt further revealed that the FBI and additional intelligence agencies have been actively monitoring the situation to ensure crowd and band safety. The beefed-up security protocol will remain tightly in place as the tour, which originally kicked off on April 1st in Minneapolis, heads toward its final scheduled performance on May 30th at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
