Watch The Surreal New Video For Celeste’s ‘Tonight Tonight’

Celeste has shared the video for her new single “Tonight Tonight.” Directed by Noah Lee, it sees Celeste falling through a rabbit hole and making her way through a surreal twisted hallway where she encounters some interesting characters and strange scenarios. The video features a score by Ryan Slimbey and you can check it out below.

“Tonight Tonight” was written by Celeste during lockdown and depicts the throes of being in the early stages of a relationship.

The song is the latest release from Celeste’s debut album Not Your Muse which entered the UK Official Artist Albums Chart at No. 1 in February, making the singer the first female British solo artist to reach number one with her debut album in five years.

Celeste has received a string of award nominations this year, including three Brits and BAFTA and Oscar Nominations for Best Original Song for “Hear My Voice” which she co-wrote with composer Daniel Pemberton for the Netflix film The Trial of the Chicago 7.  She also has the pleasure of being the first female British artist to top the chart with a debut album in more than five years (following Jess Glynne’s “I Cry When I Laugh”).

“I just want to thank everyone that made this possible and bought and streamed my album,” Celeste told OfficialCharts.com. “It means so much to me and it means a lot for this music to get heard in this way. I can’t wait to make more and hopefully I’ll see you at all the shows. This has done the world of good for me and my music so thank you very, very, very, very much.”

On release, Not Your Muse captured the hearts of critics on both sides of the Atlantic, drawing praise from Rolling Stone, NYLON, The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and The Independent, which declared that the album “will lure you back time and time again, as much for its technical brilliance as any of its other qualities.”
