Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton Release Covers of Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’

Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton are just two of over 50 artists contributing to The Metallica Blacklist, a compilation of covers from Metallica’s self-titled 1991 album (aka: “The Black Album”), which turns 30 today (August 12.)

Both artists opted to put their own unique spins of the classic Metallica ballad “Nothing Else Matters,” both of which can be heard below.

In addition to The Metallica Blacklist, Metallica is also reissuing The Black Album. Both titles are due out September 10 and are currently available for pre-order at Metallica.com.
