Jac Ross Releases New Song And Accompanying Video, ‘Never Say’

Jac Ross has just wrapped up a whirlwind holiday weekend, dropping his new track “Never Say” on the Friday after Thanksgiving, followed by his first Soul Train Award Cypher performance, which premiered Sunday night on the BET & BET Her channels.

“Never Say” is the first taste of what’s to come from Jac Ross, whose highly anticipated debut project will be released in 2022, kickstarting a new era for the R&B artist.

The track is accompanied by a music video that finds Ross drenched in sepia tones of pink and blue, arguing with a partner but agonizingly separated by a wall that keeps them apart. The video co-stars Sydney Sewell.

For this year’s highly-anticipated Soul Cypher – a tradition started by Erykah Badu – Jac Ross joined the stellar lineup of Musiq Soulchild, D-Nice, gospel sensation Koryn Hawthorne, Elle Varner, and Tone Stith. Aaliyah’s “Rock The Boat” was chosen as the theme and instrumental for the cypher, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the late star’s timeless self-titled album.

Ross is also getting ready to hit the road with Americana soul superstar Yola. His supporting dates will kick off February 8 in Boston, Massachusetts.
