Sigrid Reschedules UK And Ireland 2022 Tour Dates

Sigrid has rescheduled her UK and Ireland 2022 tour dates, pushing the gigs back by eight months.

The concerts will include the Norwegian star’s biggest headline performances in the countries to date, including stops at London’s SSE Arena Wembley and Dublin’s 3Arena. Additional dates have also been added in Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham, and Newcastle.

Originally booked to take place in March, the tour will now begin on November 4. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on January 28 and will be available to purchase here.

The announcement comes after a busy year in 2021 for Sigrid. The acclaimed pop star released a handful of singles – “Mirror” and “Burning Bridges” – which are expected to appear on the follow-up to her 2019 debut album Sucker Punch. She also put in euphoric performances at festivals across the summer, including sets on the main stages at Reading & Leeds.

Sigrid recently teamed up with Griff for the electrifying collaborative single “Head On Fire,” which the Norwegian star said was about “that feeling when you meet someone who just flips everything upside down and you can’t focus on anything else but that person.”

Meanwhile, in December, Sigrid teased a new track called “It Gets Dark” in an Instagram post reflecting on the last 12 months. “But next year will be even better. We have some very special things coming. See you in 2022,” she said as a new track played in the background.

Speaking to NME last year, the singer explained: “I’m a huge fan of rock music and I think you can hear that in the new music I’ve been making too. You’ll definitely see that live energy from me again, I’ve missed it.”

In October, she revealed that she had been working with Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish in the studio, telling fans: “Just wait til you hear what we wrote.”
