LETSGETFR.EE Carnaval is taking place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, the home of the very first World’s Fair, with a lineup that will include Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Missy Elliott, Kali Uchis, Wizkid, Ozuna, Jhené Aiko, YEИDRY, Jorja Smith, and more.
Matthew Morgan, the founder, and ex-head of the wildly popular, global AFROPUNK festivals along with partner Jocelyn Cooper and in partnership with global creative agency Anomaly, have announced the inaugural edition of their new concept LETSGETFR.EE for August 20 and 21 with an opening night gala on the 19th.
Other artists set to appear include El Alfa, Ferg, Lido Pimienta, Teezo Touch Down, Flatbush Zombies, Tems, Bomba Estéreo, Priya Ragu, Tiwa Savage, Major Lazer Sound System, Bas, Heavy Balie, GoldLink, and many more, with stages curated by VP Records, Noir Fever and D36, a newly launched community platform for South Asian stories and music. The D36 Stage will feature Jai Wolf (DJ Set) and guests.
LETSGETFR.EE is the largest diversity-focused, purpose-driven music experience in the US. Its mission is to close the equity gap for Black, Brown, Asian, and other underrepresented people in the entertainment industry, with the aim of achieving a diversified workforce across all levels in the industry by 2030.
