Killswitch Engage teases upcoming single, “The Consequence”

In a recent interview with the Arizona Republic, Maynard James Keenan shared his perspective on the separation of church and state, describing the government as a "machinery" that should remain free from emotional or religious influence. "It's a car, it's an engine, it's mechanics," Keenan stated. "There's no faith involved... You can have your faith, but it shouldn't affect how your car runs."

"That's why separating church and state is important to me, 'cause the government should not be an emotional being," Keenan continued. "It should be a mechanism. It's a machinery. No faith involved."

The interview comes as Puscifer prepares to launch their 2026 North American tour, which kicks off March 20 in Las Vegas and includes a stop at the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix on March 21.

Stitched Up Heart has released their newest single, “Cannibal,” featuring a guest appearance by Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies. Released today, March 17, 2026, via Judge & Jury Records, the track arrives alongside a music video directed by Tony Aguilera.

The song is the third single released from the band’s fourth studio album, Medusa, which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. Vocalist Alecia “Mixi” Demner noted the collaboration serves as a “torch-passing” moment, recalling being at the first-ever Butcher Babies show years prior. Stitched Up Heart is currently on a North American tour with Sebastian Bach and will join Infected Rain for a spring run starting in May.

Peter Frampton has officially announced Carry The Light, his first studio album of all-new original rock material since 2010. Set for release on May 15, 2026, via UMe, the 10-track collection was co-written and produced by Frampton alongside his son, Julian Frampton.

The announcement is accompanied by the lead single “Buried Treasure,” a tribute to the late Tom Petty featuring Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench. The track’s lyrics are crafted entirely from Petty’s song titles. The album also features an all-star cast of guest contributors, including Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, H.E.R., Graham Nash, and saxophonist Bill Evans. Frampton described the project as “one of my most enjoyable ever,” highlighting the personal significance of collaborating with his son at his Studio Phenix in Nashville.

Carry The Light will be available in various formats, including CD and a limited-edition numbered 180-gram yellow vinyl exclusive to his official store.

Jinjer has officially announced their return to North America for a massive headlining tour in summer 2026. This marks the band's first headlining run on the continent since 2024 and will serve as the final touring chapter in support of their Duél album cycle. Joining them as special guests for the tour are Crystal Lake and Entheos.

The 37-city trek kicks off on June 5 in Ottawa, Ontario, and includes appearances at several major festivals, such as Vans Warped Tour (Washington, D.C. and Long Beach), Inkarceration, and Upheaval. The tour will hit major markets including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas before concluding on July 25. Bassist Eugene Abdukhanov noted that the band "saved the best for last" for this final run of the cycle. Following the North American dates, Jinjer is scheduled to join Spiritbox as special guests on their European tour in the fall.

Artist pre-sales begin today, March 17, at 2:00 PM local time, with general ticket sales starting this Friday, March 20, at 10:00 AM local time.

Trent Reznor took a moment during the final stop of the current Nine Inch Nails tour to set the record straight regarding the band's future on the road. Addressing the crowd, Reznor sought to clarify comments made earlier in the week that had led to widespread speculation about the band's retirement from touring.

"I think I said something the other day that then got misconstrued into something that is not intentionally necessarily true," Reznor explained. "What I said was, this is the last show of this tour and we don't have any shows booked and we don't have any plans to book any shows any time in the future so far. That doesn't mean we may not tour again."

While confirming that fans shouldn't expect live dates in the immediate future—noting it "won't be next month" or "this year"—he emphasized that the band is not "intentionally stopping." Reznor admitted he had previously questioned if touring still "mattered," but credited the current band and crew for creating a production he is "really fucking proud of." He concluded by thanking the audience, noting that their support makes the band feel like they "have a fucking purpose."
