The actor shared that shooting action scenes for the superhero sequel feels more challenging at age 40.
Actor Robert Pattinson is currently in London filming the superhero sequel The Batman Part II, directed by Matt Reeves. Speaking with GQ, Pattinson—who turned 40 a month before production began in June—explained that performing fight scenes at his age is significantly harder, though he described the overall project as “really fun” and called the shoot a “marathon.”
The film’s cast includes franchise newcomers Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan, alongside Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch. Originally scheduled for release in October 2026 and later delayed to October 2027, The Batman Part II is now scheduled to open in theaters on Feb. 18, 2028. Director Matt Reeves announced the updated release date on July 15 via Vimeo, where he also shared camera test footage of Pattinson back in costume.
