British glam rock stalwarts The Darkness have released "Masters Of The Universe," the thunderous theme song for Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios' highly anticipated live-action He-Man feature film. Written by frontman Justin Hawkins and guitarist Dan Hawkins—who also produced and mixed the track—the song was crafted in collaboration with acclaimed film composer Daniel Pemberton. The high-energy anthem follows hot on the heels of the movie’s star-studded world premiere earlier this week at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and is now available across all major digital streaming platforms. "When He-Man asked whether we could provide some music for his forthcoming biopic... we dusted off our trusty loincloths, assembled in the courtyard of Castle Darkness and bellowed in unison WE HAVE THE POWER," the band shared in a characteristically witty statement, playfully adding, "Also, Brian May was there.”

The single arrives as part of a massive rollout for the film's musical companion piece, following Lakeshore Records' release of the track "Eternia" last week, which explicitly features Queen icon Brian May. The full soundtrack album is scheduled to drop on June 5th, perfectly aligning with the movie's official theatrical release in the United States. Directed by Travis Knight, the big-screen epic stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Jared Leto as the villainous Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms. Beyond their cinematic contributions, The Darkness is gearing up for a monumental second half of the year; the band is slated to support Iron Maiden at a massive Knebworth show this July, release a comprehensive best-of collection titled Crock Of Hits in October, and embark on their largest UK headlining arena tour in 20 years this December, culminating in a debut headline performance at London's prestigious The O2.

Grunge pioneers Pearl Jam have officially found a new drummer to occupy the throne left vacant by Matt Cameron last year. Cameron's departure concluded a legendary 27-year tenure with the band, leaving fans speculating about who could possibly fill his shoes. Speaking on SiriusXM's dedicated Pearl Jam channel, guitarist Stone Gossard confirmed that a permanent replacement has been secured, but the band is intentionally keeping the musician's identity entirely under wraps to build anticipation.
