Cage the Elephant performs a cover of Black Sabbath’s ‘Changes’ at Lollapalooza; ‘Paranoid’ featured during the Changing of the Guard ceremony in the UK.

Cage the Elephant paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne during their performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Thursday. Frontman Matt Shultz led the band in a heartfelt rendition of Black Sabbath’s classic ballad “Changes.”

This song was famously covered by Yungblud at the Back to the Beginning concert on July 5, which was announced as Ozzy’s final live performance with the original Black Sabbath lineup. Sadly, Ozzy passed away just over two weeks later, on July 22.

Since Ozzy’s death, several artists have honored him by performing “Changes.” Bands like Def Leppard, Coldplay, and Dave Matthews have included the song in their sets. Yungblud has even committed to performing it at every show moving forward.

In other news, The Band of the Coldstream Guards recently played Sabbath’s “Paranoid” during a Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London, further celebrating Ozzy’s legacy.

These tributes show how much Ozzy Osbourne meant to the music world and how his influence continues to inspire artists today.
