HONG KONG, 15 October 2025 – Live Nation has officially opened TIDES, Hong Kong’s first purpose-built mid-sized live music venue. The grand opening on October 14 featured performances by The Hertz, Beanies, Novel Fergus, and Le Shing.
Located in The Whampoa’s ship-shaped complex in Hung Hom, TIDES can hold 1,500 fans. This venue is a game-changer for Hong Kong’s live music scene, offering top-notch production facilities for emerging artists.
The opening ceremony included key figures from Live Nation and Hutchison Property Group, such as Stephanie Bax, John Ahrens, Paul Antonio, Clara Ho, and Joanna Yuen.
Stephanie Bax, President of Venue Development at Live Nation, said, “TIDES brings fresh energy to Hong Kong’s live entertainment landscape. It’s a space for artists to perform, grow, and connect with fans. Designed for concerts and events, it’s set to become a key part of the city’s cultural scene.”
Anthony Lau, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, added, “The opening of TIDES gives local and global artists a new venue to engage with fans. It’s important for promoting Hong Kong’s event tourism. We look forward to seeing a variety of exciting performances here.”
Upcoming shows include Novelbright on October 18, The Hertz from October 31 to November 1, and bbno$ on November 13. TIDES plans to host over 250 events each year in partnership with Mastercard.
