My Chemical Romance brought The Black Parade to Soldier Field in Chicago Friday night. stagehands were set on fire, dictators were in attendance, clowns laughed at the audience it was a show with decadence clearly on the menu.

The band did not disappoint.
Playing the seminal album in its entirety from a pseudo Russian mega stage brought a whole new life to tracks like “The End”, “This Is How I Disappear” and “Famous Last Words.” Ending the first half of the show by almost burning down the stage was just icing on the cake.

The halfway point brought the band closer to the crowd by performing on a much smaller B rig from the middle of the stadium. They crushed a mostly greatest hits set before ending the night with Chicago legend Billy Corgan joining the band to tear through a rendition of The Smashing Pumpkins “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.” An epic night to say the least.
