Noah Kahan is celebrating a fantastic achievement as his new album, The Great Divide, spends its third week at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks the first time a rock album has held the top spot for that long since Mumford & Sons’ Babel in 2013. For solo artists, Noah’s success is even more remarkable; the last rock album by a solo artist to stay at #1 for three weeks was Jack Johnson’s Sleep Through the Static in 2008.
The Great Divide is recognized as a rock album and has also made its way onto Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. Its songs have been featured on various pop charts, including the Hot 100.
In a recent Instagram Story, Noah shared a light-hearted moment about getting “kicked” on the soccer field by older players. Despite that, he expressed his gratitude for reaching #1 again, saying, “It’s f crazy.” He thanked his fans for their support, saying, “It’s all ’cause of you guys streaming and buying s* and just being dope. So I love you, still grateful … thank you so much.” Noah also mentioned he needs to hit the treadmill to get back into “soccer shape.
