Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, co-founders of RUSH and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, are hitting the road again in 2026 for a special tour called Fifty Something. This tour celebrates RUSH’s music and honors the late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. It will be their first tour together in eleven years since the R40 Tour ended on August 1, 2015, at the Forum in Los Angeles.
Geddy Lee shared, “It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I performed with our friend Neil. We’ve missed it and decided it’s time to celebrate 50-something years of RUSH music. In 2026, Alex and I will tour again, playing a wide range of RUSH songs. We’re excited to introduce Anika Nilles, an amazing drummer who will join us. We hope to add a couple more musicians to expand our sound and show off some new moves. Our team has been rehearsing hard to create the kind of RUSH show you expect from us. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating our history.”
Neil Peart’s widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and daughter, Olivia Peart, expressed their support for the Fifty Something tour. They said, “We are thrilled to celebrate a band whose music has inspired fans for generations and to honor Neil’s incredible legacy. His musicianship was unique, and his lyrics deeply connected with fans. He was irreplaceable, and we look forward to this new chapter for the band.”
