Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless has plenty to celebrate this holiday season. Her band’s latest single, “For I Am Death,” has reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, marking their eighth top hit. “It’s very cool!” Momsen shared about the song’s success. “It’s kind of surreal; we haven’t even played it live yet.”
“For I Am Death” debuted in August and is the first new music from The Pretty Reckless in four years. “It’s kind of blowing my mind a little bit, but in the best way possible,” she said. “I love that song so much, so I’m proud it’s the first thing we’ve put out in a while, and I’m so thankful that people like it.”
In addition to the chart success, Momsen performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on November 8, honoring Soundgarden. The Pretty Reckless also released a holiday EP that features a rocking version of “Where Are You Christmas?” from How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
As if that’s not enough, Momsen will be performing during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday. “The universe is aligned or something, I don’t know,” she laughed. It’s a busy and exciting time for Momsen and The Pretty Reckless!
