The 1930s were also notable, with multiple Preakness wins, including Earl Sande in 1930 and George Ellis in 1931. In 1937, Ernie Lombardi had a standout game, going six-for-six as the Reds triumphed over the Phillies.

The 1960s brought more excitement, with Jim Gentile hitting two grand slams in 1961. By 1984, the White Sox and Brewers played a marathon game that lasted 34 innings over two days.

In recent years, Derek Fisher made headlines in 2007 with a clutch three-pointer in the NBA playoffs. Tim Clark won the PGA Players Championship in 2010, and Dallas Braden pitched a perfect game the same year.
