BBC to Broadcast Documentary Exploring the Last Years of Ozzy Osbourne’s Life

The BBC is set to air a new documentary titled *Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home*, which explores the life of the legendary rocker from 2022 to 2025. The film will focus on Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s move from the U.S. to their home in Buckinghamshire, England. This one-hour documentary will also highlight Ozzy’s health challenges and his preparations for his final performance.

Originally called *Home to Roost*, the project was first announced in 2022. However, the focus shifted when Ozzy’s health took a turn. Initially, the documentary was about their return to the UK after nearly 40 years in California. Sharon shared her thoughts on the move, saying, “California is not what it once was. It’s not exciting anymore. It’s dangerous here. I don’t feel safe, and neither does Ozzy.”

Ozzy expressed his feelings about leaving America, stating, “To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now… I don’t want to go back. F— that.”

Clar Sillery, the head of Commissioning/Documentaries at the BBC, said, “We are honored to have had the opportunity to film with Ozzy and his family. The film captures an intimate glimpse into their journey as they prepare to return to the UK. It features family moments, humor, and reflection, showcasing the spirit that made Ozzy a global icon. We hope it brings comfort and joy to Ozzy’s fans as they celebrate his extraordinary life.”

*Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home* will air on BBC One on August 18. If you’re using a VPN, you can also catch it on BBC’s iPlayer.
