Foo Fighters have officially changed the title of their new album to Your Favorite Toy. Dave Grohl shared that he initially wanted to name it For Good, inspired by a lyric from the song “Your Favorite Toy.” The line goes, “Someone threw away your favorite toy, for good.” Grohl thought it was a fitting title with multiple meanings.
However, he had to rethink his choice when the sequel to the popular musical Wicked was announced with the title Wicked: For Good. Grohl expressed his frustration, saying, “Then that Wicked movie came out and it’s called Wicked: For Good. And I was so pissed.” As a result, both the song and album were renamed to Your Favorite Toy.
In a recent interview, Grohl and the other band members discussed the album track by track. Your Favorite Toy is now available for fans to enjoy.
