Howard Jones Unveils North American Summer Tour Featuring ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ with Wang Chung, The English Beat, and Modern English

Howard Jones is set to perform at the Columbia Theater in Berlin on October 25, 2025. This summer, fans across the U.S. can look forward to an ‘80s MTV-inspired experience as the New Wave legend embarks on his 21-date “Things Can Only Get Better” tour. The tour kicks off on July 19 at the Blue Note Summer Sessions in Napa, CA, and wraps up on August 23 in North York, Ontario, at The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium.

Jones has curated this year’s lineup, marking the start of an annual event. He will be joined by fellow U.K. bands Wang Chung, The English Beat, and Modern English, each performing full sets. The tour is hosted by SiriusXM and former KROQ personality Richard Blade. Concerts will be organized by Live Nation, AEG, and local promoters.

Key stops on the tour include the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on July 23, the Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas on July 26, ACL Live at Moody Theatre in Austin on August 4, the Citizens House of Blues in Boston on August 19, and Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island on August 20. Fans can expect to hear hits like Jones’ “Things Can Only Get Better,” “What Is Love,” and “No One Is To Blame,” along with Wang Chung’s “Dance Hall Days” and “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” The English Beat’s “Save It For Later” and “I Confess,” and Modern English’s “I Melt With You.”

Jones expressed his excitement, saying, “This is the best job in the world. I love playing songs that people enjoy and inspiring them with the lyrics. I’ve always wanted to be a cheerleader for those facing challenges, helping them pursue their dreams.” He will also appear on SiriusXM’s First Wave Hollywood Happy Hour with Richard Blade on April 10, where he will participate in a live interview and performance.

“I’ve always dreamed of curating a tour with my favorite bands to spread positivity in tough times,” Jones added. “I’m thrilled this is happening this summer, and I can’t wait to tour with these amazing talents. Our goal is to bring joy with the pop anthems we all love and share a message of hope for a better future.”

Both Jones and Wang Chung are managed by Jonathan Wolfson of Wolfson Entertainment, who is also one of the tour’s producers. Wang Chung’s Jack Hues noted, “We’ve known each other since the ‘80s but have never toured together extensively. These are all great guys.” Partner Nick Feldman added, “Four British bands bringing their hits to your hometown!”
