Kerry King, the guitarist from Slayer, has announced a deluxe edition of his debut solo album, *From Hell I Rise*, which was released in 2024. This expanded version will be available on June 19 and includes five bonus demo recordings featuring King’s original vocals. The new package also comes with updated artwork.
According to a press release, the demos provide a unique look into King’s creative process, showcasing scratch vocal performances that fans have never heard outside the studio.
The deluxe edition will also be offered as a box set, which includes two vinyl LPs, a CD, and a Blu-ray of King’s debut solo show in Chicago. This special box set is limited to just 666 copies.
In other news, Slayer reunited in 2024 after saying goodbye on their final tour in 2019. They have played several one-off shows and will perform their classic 1986 album, *Reign in Blood*, in full starting in September.
