If you want to experience a galaxy far, far away without leaving Pennsylvania, New Hope is the place to be. From May 1 to May 4, 2026, the town will turn into a Star Wars-themed playground. The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is expanding its popular May the 4th celebration into a four-day event with over 60 participating businesses.
What started as a one-day event has grown into one of Bucks County’s most exciting spring happenings. For four days, visitors can explore shops and discover themed cocktails, special menus, retail discounts, giveaways, and interactive experiences, each with its own unique twist. “This weekend shows what New Hope does best,” said Michael Sklar, President of the Chamber.
The celebration features small, independent businesses, encouraging visitors to explore the entire town. A major highlight occurs on Sunday, May 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., when members of the 501st Legion (Garrison Carida) will stroll through town in their detailed costumes, providing great photo opportunities and fan interaction.
Throughout New Hope, restaurants, bars, boutiques, and galleries will offer themed drinks like Blue Milk and Jedi Juleps, along with Star Wars-inspired food and discounts for guests in costume. The event showcases the creativity and diversity of New Hope, with something new around every corner.
The event is free, family-friendly, and open to everyone. While some businesses may have paid specials, no ticket is needed to join the fun. With its walkable streets and historic charm, New Hope is ready to show why it’s a beloved destination. This May the 4th weekend, the Force will be everywhere!
